Good morning, Enyimba family.
This is a difficult morning for everyone connected with Enyimba F.C.. After yesterday’s 2–1 defeat to Warri Wolves F.C. in Ozoro, our second loss to them this season, the team has slipped into the relegation zone following Matchday 29.
For a club with Enyimba’s history and pedigree, this is a painful position to find ourselves in. Not long ago we were competing for titles and continental places. Today we are fighting for points and looking over our shoulders at the bottom of the table.
Equally concerning is how results have gone both home and away. Aba was once regarded as a fortress where visiting teams struggled to leave with anything. Recently, however, that dominance has faded, and opponents now arrive believing they can take points.
Naturally, many questions are being asked. Is it recruitment? Tactics? Motivation? Off-field distractions? The exact reasons can be debated, but the results are clear and they demand honest reflection and accountability at every level of the club.
Despite the disappointment, the season is not finished. There are still matches left to play and opportunities to recover ground. This team has enough quality, and the club has enough history and support, to fight its way out of this situation if everyone pulls together with the right urgency.
To the players, staff, and management, the supporters are hurting but they remain behind the badge. Now is the moment to reflect, regroup, and respond.
And to my fellow Elephants, let us keep our support strong and constructive. Difficult moments are also part of football, but the story of this season has not yet been fully written.
Proud to stand with Enyimba, even on mornings like this.
Until the next one,
Enyimba Enyi 💙
