Good morning Guys
It is a brand new week and another chance to bless the world and make some money while we are at it. Although here in Aba, we will be starting all that from home. Will this sit at home ever end? Honestly, I think its message has long been delivered. Sadly, it is not my call. So let us leave it at that.
Stanley Eguma has agreed to a two year deal with Enyimba. He even admitted that while there is an agreement in place, it is yet to be signed. That is a bold move by the club, especially considering how his first season went.
To be honest, he is nowhere near my first choice or even among my top picks. But really, the decision has been made. It would be pointless and even foolish to remain stuck in constant criticism.
With the club showing him this level of faith, all we can do now is hope he comes good. We know what Eguma brings and we know his limits. But let me say this, you do not survive this long in the league without being at least decent, even with your flaws.
My bigger concern is about the players he has to work with. By the end of last season, most of the senior players did not like his style or want to work with him. Could the club have gone for someone better? Most likely. There is always someone. But they seem to have settled for the old saying, better the devil you know.
Eguma will once again have a squad filled with new faces. Whether or not they are his picks, his influence will shape their Enyimba careers. Hopefully, with all the trialists lined up, he can discover a gem or two.
Let us be honest, patience is running thin. The club’s usual narratives will not hold this season. The scrutiny will be tougher. This is the time for genuine and honest efforts to rebuild this club properly. Everyone’s legacy is being written right now. Thankfully, they have a fresh chance to fix the mistakes of past seasons.
This rebuild needs hands on and committed work. No more stories. If you are not aligned with the vision of restoring Nigeria’s biggest club, please show yourself out. The people in charge have serious work ahead and I sincerely hope they are ready for it.
Wishing you all a great week ahead
See you tomorrow

I thinkBlog Comment Creation you nailed it when you said it’s pointless to stay stuck in criticism—especially now that the club has made its decision. Eguma may not be the popular choice, but with a better relationship with the squad and clearer expectations, maybe this second stint can surprise us. It’s really all about how well he connects with the dressing room this time around.
