Enyimba assistant coach Ndubuisi Nduka, who stood in for bereaved head coach Stanley Eguma, has assured fans that the team will respond positively after Sunday’s 1–2 home loss to Warri Wolves in Aba.
Speaking to the press shortly after the final whistle, Nduka admitted that the result was disappointing but emphasized the need for calm reflection rather than emotional reaction.
“The result is disappointing, but we won’t let emotions cloud our judgment,” he said. “We’ll have serious discussions, understand where we went wrong, and find practical solutions. We owe that to our fans and to ourselves. The improvements will be visible from our next game.”
The defeat ended Enyimba’s unbeaten home record this season and exposed areas in need of adjustment ahead of next weekend’s fixture. Coach Nduka’s comments suggest that the technical crew is already focused on corrections rather than recriminations.
Despite the setback, confidence within the camp remains strong that the People’s Elephant will bounce back quickly. Enyimba will next be in action when they travel to Jos for their upcoming NPFL fixture against Plateau United, where fans will be eager to see the promised improvements take shape.
