You ever notice how Tuesdays kind of get lost in the shuffle? Mondays get all the attention for being the start of the grind, Wednesdays are hailed as \u201chump day,\u201d Thursdays are all about reflection and throwbacks, and then the weekend vibes kick off on Friday. But poor old Tuesday; It\u2019s like the forgotten middle child of the week. Well, here\u2019s your chance to flip the script and make memorable and unforgettable moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking of unforgettable moments, how about Sunday night in Uyo? That shootout victory to seal our place in the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup was nothing short of chef\u2019s kiss. Enyimba\u2019s record of never being knocked out of the prelims when we complete both legs is still intact. Now we\u2019re seeded in Pot 3 for the group stages. How the mighty have fallen, right? I’m worried as well. We\u2019ll find out our group-stage opponents on the 7th of October, and maybe, just maybe, we\u2019ll get those matches back in Aba. The decision\u2019s in the hands of CAF and how the management handles it, but let\u2019s just say nothing is impossible. I\u2019ll save my hot takes on our continental chances for another day, though!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, onto tomorrow\u2014it\u2019s Game 2 of our \u201c5 games in 15 days\u201d marathon, and this time, Lobi Stars come to town. They\u2019re missing Dominic Iorfa at the management level but Eugene Agagbe, who famously bragged about beating us in Lafia last season (and did), is still around. Lobi\u2019s winless after two games, and yeah, the season is still young, but let\u2019s not take any chances. We\u2019re back on our home turf in Aba, and we need to hit the ground running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach Yemi Olarenwaju (aka Yema) had a \u201cTedTalk moment\u201d after the goalless draw on Sunday when he said, \u201cIf you don\u2019t score, you\u2019re not going to win, but if you don\u2019t concede, you can\u2019t lose.\u201d True, but let\u2019s be real\u2014dominating possession is nice, but goals win games. We bagged three in Owerri on Matchday 1, and tomorrow\u2019s the perfect time to repeat (or better yet, top) that performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The squad is back in town, and this is our first chance to see them tear it up on our beautiful \u201cRolls Royce\u201d pitch. You know what they say\u2014first impressions matter. Let\u2019s see some fireworks tomorrow, and we\u2019ll cheer even louder!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
