Now, with just one game left, Enyimba find themselves in a position that, all things considered, is far better than it could have been. Our destiny is still in our hands, and with the home fans firmly behind the team, that counts for something. In a survival battle of our own making, brought about by the many actions and inactions of the last two and a half years, this is still a relatively good place to be.<\/p>\n
A win against El Kanemi Warriors today secures our top-flight status for next season. And when you consider the visitors\u2019 poor travelling record, alongside the renewed vigor in the Enyimba side, it is tempting to see victory as the likely outcome. But that should not trick anyone into comfort. The job is not done yet. It will only be done when the final whistle goes and the result says so. Until then, everything remains open.<\/p>\n
That is what makes today so significant. This is the game that will determine whether the rescue mission that came in late can truly be called a success or not. And what an intervention it has been, all things considered.<\/p>\n
