In front of an energized Aba crowd hungry for a year end celebration, we delivered a performance that felt both timely and reassuring. Control, intensity and attacking clarity combined to produce a commanding 3\u20130 win over Shooting Stars, reaffirming Aba as a difficult place to visit and giving us a fitting way to close the first stanza of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From kickoff, our intent was obvious. The early exchanges saw Kalu Nweke, Chidera and Issah combine neatly, stretching 3SC with quick circulation and purposeful movement. Chances came early, with Nweke and Ufere both firing wide, but the pattern of dominance was already established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The breakthrough arrived in the 16th minute and it was fully deserved. After Chidera was fouled yet again in a dangerous area, Issah delivered a clever cut back from the resulting set piece. Ufere kept his composure and finished calmly to give us the lead and settle the nerves inside the stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shooting Stars struggled to live with our pace and movement, increasingly relying on fouls to disrupt our rhythm. Anozie was largely untroubled in the first half, dealing confidently with the few moments when the visitors ventured forward. We went into the break firmly in control, with more goals looking likely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second half, however, produced a defining moment. Just five minutes after the restart, Joel conceded a penalty, handing 3SC a chance to get back into the game. Anozie stepped up when it mattered most, saving the spot kick and then reacting quickly to deny the rebound. That double save swung momentum decisively back in our favour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although the visitors enjoyed a brief spell of pressure thereafter, we gradually reasserted control through stronger midfield battles and quicker ball circulation. The substitutions from the technical crew proved key, with Edidiong and Nwaorisa injecting fresh energy and sharper movement in the final third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second goal arrived in the 85th minute and effectively killed the contest. Nwaorisa split the defence with a beautifully weighted through pass, and Edidiong showed calmness to finish clinically for 2\u20130.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With 3SC stretched and chasing the game, we pressed our advantage. Deep into stoppage time, Chidera capped another impressive display with his sixth league goal of the season, finishing off a slick exchange with Edidiong to make it 3\u20130 and send the home fans into celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was one of our most complete performances of the season. Tactically disciplined, physically assertive and efficient when it mattered most. The backline stayed organised, the midfield won key duels, and the attacking unit showed growing chemistry and depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the final whistle echoed around Aba, the chants told their own story. A strong, authoritative finish to a challenging first half of the campaign and a reminder that there is still plenty to build on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
