Good morning, Enyimba faithful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dust continues to settle on Sunday\u2019s encounter in Lagos, and while many of us are still replaying that late chance in our minds, the one Mujeeb could not quite bury, there is really no room for regret. It was not the victory we craved, but it was not a defeat either. A draw away from home keeps our unbeaten run intact, even if it did cost us the top spot to Nasarawa United by a single point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes football is like that. One swing of a boot and the story changes. But even without the perfect ending, there is plenty to take from our performance at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. This was a match that tested our mentality, our patience, and our character, and we came through it all still standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach Stanley Eguma was quick to praise his team\u2019s approach in such a difficult environment, highlighting their calmness and belief under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cIt was a good game although we wanted all three points, but a draw is not a bad result,\u201d Eguma said. \u201cWe have to commend the home side for playing good football, especially here at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, but we were better. We knew they play well at home and that is why we prepared well to even win the game. The league is still young and we are bracing up to work harder as this season looks tough. For you to be champion, you have to get results everywhere you go.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Stand in captain Kalu Nweke echoed the manager\u2019s thoughts, describing the match as a valuable test of Enyimba\u2019s credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cWe knew it was going to be a tough match, and that is exactly what we got. But the coach has been preparing us from day one on what it takes to be Champions, and that mentality is what has brought us this far.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
And so, we march on. The unbeaten run is alive, and the lessons from Lagos have been taken to heart. This team has shown that it can dig deep, stay composed, and keep believing even when things do not go perfectly. Every challenge so far has revealed a little more of their character and a little more of their hunger. What matters now is to keep building on that foundation, turning resilience into consistency and belief into results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will reflect on what could have been in Lagos, yes, but more importantly, we will focus on what lies ahead. Because in this marathon of a season, the best teams are not the ones who dwell on missed chances; they are the ones who use them as fuel. The Peoples Elephant are still charging forward<\/p>\n\n\n\n
