Good Morning Enyimba Fans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it just me or does everyone share in the sentiment that the year seems to be running faster than normal? Who would have believed that we are in the last week of the 6th month? I want to ask, how has it been with your year plan? I hope you hadn\u2019t forgotten about them? Are you still pushing and smashing? If not, there\u2019s another chance to get it done and dusted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today on our end of the season scorecard for Enyimba players we would be looking at the guy who wears the jersey number 4 for Enyimba -Moses Adikwu. He\u2019s got potential no doubt about- even though he\u2019s not quite there yet but he really did his best the few games he played for us about 10 of them in all competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moses is a versatile defender, capable of slotting in as a central back and even covering as a right back when needed. That kind of flexibility is a huge plus for Coach Stanley Eguma, especially when dealing with injuries or tactical reshuffles. In the backline, Moses is solid \u2014 he\u2019s got a good frame, and when he\u2019s focused, he reads the game well, positioning himself to intercept passes or clear danger. His marking and tackling are generally reliable, and he\u2019s not shy to get stuck in when the opposition gets physical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of his standout moments this season was that crucial goal against Ikorodu City. It was a real game-changer. He scored in the 90+2 minutes at home, and it turned a potential draw into a vital 2-1 win. Honestly, that goal was a breath of fresh air, especially when the hearts of fans like me were pounding, praying for a miracle. The Ikorodu fans had come to Aba boasting they would leave with points, but Moses had other plans. That late goal, coming when the game was teetering on the edge, was a testament to his fighting spirit. If not for that, we\u2019d be talking about a different story maybe a frustrating draw, and more points dropped at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That said, there\u2019s room for improvement. His pace is something he could work on \u2014 sometimes, quick attackers get past him because he\u2019s a bit slow on the turn. Also, his ball distribution could be sharper; in modern football, a defender\u2019s ability to initiate plays from the back is crucial. But overall, I\u2019d rate him a 5\/10 not because he\u2019s a bad player, but because he has the potential to be much better with more consistency and work on those areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If Moses decides to stay at Enyimba, I believe it\u2019s a smart move. His qualities, combined with his dedication, could really help us tighten up our defense. Who knows? Maybe with some coaching and a bit of confidence, he can grow into a key figure and perhaps even partner up with the coach just like the biblical Moses and Aaron to help us climb out of this league rut and aim for that league title or even a continental spot next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As an Enyimba fan, I hope Moses sticks around. We need players like him who can turn the game around when it matters most. And if he keeps working on his pace and distribution, I believe we\u2019ll see more of those last-minute heroics and solid defensive performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
