It\u2019s another matchday, and once again, we find ourselves hoping our beloved team will finally start moving in the right direction with performances that lift us up the table and remind us why we\u2019re Enyimba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The past week? Well, let\u2019s just say it\u2019s been one of those weeks filled with more drama,both on and off the field than a soap opera. Issues that do nothing but drag our name through the mud and threaten the legacy we\u2019ve built as Nigeria\u2019s biggest club. But let\u2019s not dwell on all that today\u2014it\u2019s too exhausting. Instead, let\u2019s turn our focus to Lafia and the task ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back in October, Niger Tornadoes came to Aba and left with a point. That was during our season of endless draws, when it felt like we were allergic to winning. Fast forward to now, and we seem to have flipped the script on the road. These days, it\u2019s either we win or we lose\u2014no in-between. Thanks to our victory in Bauchi, we\u2019ve earned the right to dream of picking something from Lafia. And honestly, we must. Discard the defeats in Kano, Ilorin, Benin City et al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For context, Tornadoes now call Lafia home because Minna was no longer cleared for NPFL games, and Kaduna, their backup plan, didn\u2019t make the TV cut. But don\u2019t let the venue fool you. Majin Mohammed’s boys have been dangerous on the road, and they\u2019ll be eager to make up for any slip-ups at home. Still, this is a match we need more than they do. Tornadoes can end the season in ninth place and call it a decent campaign. But us? Finishing 12th would be nothing short of a disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eguma and his squad have no choice but to deliver today. Enough talk. We\u2019ve heard all the right words about motivation, confidence, and team spirit. Pascal Eze said it days ago. Chinedu Ufere echoed it. But now it\u2019s time to back those words with action on the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That technical meeting after the Shooting Stars draw? It has to mean something. Results need to start showing. Otherwise, what\u2019s the point? We don\u2019t want it to turn out to be just another meeting where everyone plays “ten ten<\/em>” and nothing changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And honestly, the grace period for Eguma should be over by now. He\u2019s had more than 10 games and a transfer window to steady the ship, and we desperately need results, not just excuses, unless we agree that he’s not in charge, then those in charge should cut the excuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, here we are again, hoping for the best. Sadly, unless you’re making the trip to Lafia, you won\u2019t be able to watch the game live.
