Good morning, Everyone.
Happy New Year and welcome to 2026. A year that will be significant in many ways. We’ve shared a couple of posts on the blog over the past few days, but this is the first one from yours truly, the chief servant of this Enyimba corner of the internet.
It’s been a long, unplanned holiday, which explains the quiet spell. A lot has been happening behind the scenes. If you’ve visited the website recently, you may have noticed a few subtle changes. That’s all part of preparing for what we have lined up for the year ahead.
A new year usually comes with resolutions, plans, fresh habits, and the usual debates about whether any of it actually works. Opinions will always differ, but there’s nothing wrong with choosing a moment like this to pause and make intentional changes.
They don’t have to be massive. They just have to be consistent. Little steps, taken seriously, still move you forward. For me, one of the main areas I want to be more intentional about in 2026 is my relationship with God. I’ve been a bit careless lately, and some spiritual consistency would go a long way. The state of the world alone makes it clear that we need grounding now more than ever.
So here’s some friendly advice. Take your walk with God more seriously this year. Addictions, habits, and vices that only leave you with regret can be dealt with. It won’t always be easy, but your future self will thank you.
In the same vein, I have to serve notice to some of my team members who have sworn off marriage completely, this has to be the year guys. Take the next step with that girl, pop the question, do the hoinorable thing. It has to be this year. No names mentioned, but the message has been delivered.
On the ThatEnyimbaFan front, we also have big plans for 2026. From next week, we should be making an announcement or two. If you believe in what we do here, help us spread the word. The more voices, the better the conversation.

As for Enyimba, the league is currently on its mid season break, and it appears the club has used the window to trim the squad even further. No fewer than ten players have reportedly been released. There will be plenty to talk about in the days ahead. For now, that’s all.
See you tomorrow.
Enyimba Enyi.
