Good morning All.
There’s alot to talk about. Moreover it is Saturday and expectedly you should have a few extra minutes to spend here. Our world is changing. Things are happening – from the Middle East to Africa and in the football stratosphere as well. Including of course, at Enyimba.
Before we talk Enyimba. I want to dedicate a paragraph to the folks running the League. I’ll borrow President Trump’s lines from earlier this week – They don’t know what the fvck they’re doing. Sorry grandma, this is the only time I’ve ever used a curse word on the blog.
With all the troubles the League is facing, someone thinks VAR is the next project to climb onto. The foolishness is difficult to grasp. These folks are so ignorant you wonder how they got into these positions. Just starkly ignorant. You cant boast of all the League games being on TV yet you wanna get VAR.
A League with its standard so poor that nobody is watching anymore. Referees so corrupt that CAF doesn’t even bother inviting them anymore. Players are owed salaries and bonuses to no consequence. But I am certain introducing VAR is the solution.
Most Nigerian football administrators, including FA Chairmen and Secretaries, are so mired in financial desperation that they’re completely unfit to drive any real progress. They brazenly siphon off wherever they can, utterly neglecting the advancement of Nigerian football. It’s a deplorable travesty. I know i said one paragraph. Sorry I went over.
What that means is that our weekend gist about the goings on at Enyimba will be paused. In the meantime though, we are in the market for a goalkeeper. Apparently Ani Ozoemena has done a Theophilus Afelokhai. He’s swapped Enyimba for Rivers United. Imoh Obot as well.
The big news though is that the older remaining players are sitting out camp for the next season. Reason? They are being owned match bonuses for 22 weeks. I find this shameful especially seeing how our players are taking the opportunity to jump ship and join Rivers United. Now for a poor welfare program, we are losing our best legs. Welldone Kanu & Ekwueme.
We have to accept the fact that we are only a great team only cos of our past. Today we are a joke. Today’s Enyimba cannot even beat lower opposition talk more of in the CAF Tournaments. What a shame. No thanks to the governor who threw us Kanu and by extension Ekwueme.
Ani’s case is outright stupid. He just recently signed a new contract. And now he’s pushing for a move to Rivers United. Ghosting the club and the management. We have created a stupid culture and now players are emboldened to do such things as this without serious consequence.
Thats all I have for today. I’ll be back. Soon. Very soon.
Cheers all.
