Enyimba Glory Days will return – Ufere declares

Enyimba FC midfielder Chinedu Ufere has issued a rallying cry to the club’s fans, assuring them that the team’s glory days are on the horizon. With the People’s Elephant set to face Niger Tornadoes in a crucial NPFL Matchday 26 clash in Lafia on Sunday, Ufere expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support during a challenging campaign.

“We promise to do everything in our power to bring the club back to its glory days,” Ufere declared. “We appreciate the fans’ support and encouragement, and we’re committed to making them proud.”

Enyimba, nine-time NPFL champions, have endured an inconsistent season, including a rare home draw against Tornadoes in the first stanza, where Ufere scored a second-half equalizer. However, the midfielder remains confident that brighter days lie ahead, starting with their clash against the “Ikon Allah Boys” at the Lafia City Stadium.

“The boys are determined, and we’re going all out to return with points,” Ufere stated. “We want to bring back joy to the faces of our fans and restore glory to the club.” Despite Tornadoes’ recent momentum, including a stunning midweek away victory over Lobi Stars in Bauchi, Ufere and his Enyimba teammates are focused on proving their mettle and reigniting their season with a statement performance.

With Enyimba holding a slight historical advantage over Tornadoes, having won eight of their 18 encounters since 2009, the stage is set for a thrilling clash. Enyimba fans will be hoping that Ufere’s words translate into action when the match kicks off at 4 PM on Sunday.
