Obichere wants Enyimba focused on 3 points

The Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina is set to host a thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 25 encounter between Katsina United and Enyimba FC.

With both teams desperate for points to climb the table, Enyimba’s young defender, Obichere Odinaka, has issued a warning, stating that the team is focused on securing a win. “We’re ready for tomorrow’s game. We didn’t come to Katsina to joke; we’re here for the points. With God, we’ll achieve our desired result,” Obichere declared confidently. This fixture holds significant importance for both teams, as they seek to improve their standing in the league. Enyimba, the nine-time NPFL champions, currently sit 11th on the log, while Katsina United occupy 14th place, just a few steps away from the relegation zone. A win for either side could significantly boost their season ambitions.

Historically, Enyimba hold a slight edge in this fixture, with seven wins compared to Katsina United’s six, while one encounter ended in a stalemate. However, home advantage has played a crucial role in this fixture, and Katsina United will be hoping to capitalize on this.

After securing a vital home victory against Rivers United last weekend, Enyimba will look to build on that momentum under Coach Stanley Eguma. Obichere also urged fans to continue supporting the team. “The fans should keep believing in us and supporting us, as that’s what we need right now,” he said. “I’ll continue to give my best as long as I’m on the field.”

The match is set to kick off at 4 PM on Thursday, with all eyes on the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. Will Enyimba secure a win as Obichere predicts, or will Katsina United make home advantage count?
