Good morning, Enyimba faithful!
2025 is here—a defining year for our not-so-new management to prove they’ve learned from their plethora of mistakes and set our beloved club back on the path to greatness. The year is fresh, the stakes are high, and the time for excuses is long gone.
Speaking of fresh starts, the transfer window in Nigeria is about to swing wide open, and moves are already happening. Our midfield prodigy, Daniel Daga, is reportedly on the cusp of being unveiled by Molde FK in Norway. Barring any last-minute hitches, all things being equal, he’s Europe-bound in the coming days.
Daga has been nothing short of a revelation since arriving on loan from FC ONE Rockets in September 2023. Fresh from a stellar FIFA U20 World Cup showing—where he bagged three Man of the Match awards before Nigeria’s quarterfinal exit—he wasted no time proving his worth in Aba.
His combative style, fearless tackles, and knack for breaking up opposition play quickly made him indispensable. And just when we thought we’d seen it all, Yema deployed him into a center-back role toward the tail end of his stint, where he also excelled. Talk about versatility!
But alas, all good things come to an end, and Daga’s loan spell has run its course. While his departure stings, it’s no excuse for us to wallow. Triple-D (Daniel Demenenge Daga) leaves a big void in midfield.
It is now up to management to find a replacement who embodies the same grit, quality, and courage he brought to the table. Sure, we’ve got Fatai Abdullahi, who’s shown flashes of brilliance, particularly against his former club, Abia Warriors. But flashes won’t cut it. We need a real enforcer—a player who won’t just fill the role but will dominate it.
And please, let’s not pretend we didn’t see this coming. Daga’s contract details were clear from day one. Surely, our scouts, if we have any, have been working overtime, right? (No pressure, guys. Just don’t mess it up.) As for Daga, we wish him nothing but the best. With his talent, determination, and unwavering faith, the sky’s the limit. Unless they kill God, this kid is destined for greatness.
Meanwhile, our focus shifts to this weekend’s clash in Uyo against the Black Bulls of Mozambique. It’s time to step up, grab a win, and remind everyone that Enyimba is still the pride of Nigeria. Here’s to a brighter 2025!
Back tomorrow
EnyimbaEnyi!
Let the weekend be blessed
Triple D we would miss you
If club officials are proactive, they can negotiate with both Daga & Molde FK for a loan spell for the reminder of the season. Daga can resume in Norway in the summer.
