Happy Sunday, dear fans!

“This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” It’s Thanksgiving Sunday in many churches here in Aba, and we’re hoping to extend the gratitude vibes all the way to Maputo by full-time today. After all, what better way to end the weekend than with a triumphant “Amen!” from our boys in blue?

The team finally touched down in Mozambique via Ethiopia, settled in, and got some much-needed rest before a light workout on the turf yesterday. Sure, they might still be shaking off some fatigue, but hey, that’s the life of a footballer—and it’s our job to cheer them on through thick and thin.

Yesterday’s pre-match presser saw Yema make a bold declaration: “We are here to fight for all three points.” Now, that’s the kind of energy we love to hear. The Black Bulls may be charging hard, but this is a must-win game for us.

The plan is simple: start like a house on fire, get an early lead while the legs are still fresh, and hold that advantage when fatigue creeps in. If we stick to Yema’s golden rule, “If you don’t concede, you can’t lose,” we’ll be halfway there. But we can’t forget the second half of that mantra—“If you don’t score, you can’t win.” Our forwards must deliver today. It’s non-negotiable!

The Black Bulls have shown they’re not impenetrable, and we need to break through before the game slows into the South African-style tactical chess match we’ve seen too many times.

Speaking of strategies, the Ideye Brown talk surfaced in the presser too—a promising hint that our name still carries weight across the continent. But talk is cheap unless it leads to results. Fingers crossed this Ideye buzz doesn’t fizzle out like steam from a leaky pot.

Kickoff is 2 PM Nigerian time, and we’re all in. The lads need our faith, our shouts, and maybe a little divine intervention. By this time tomorrow, let’s be buzzing about our first 90-minute win of the campaign.

Enyimba Enyi!
