Good morning, Enyimba faithful!

As we wrap up October, a quick check-in—have you been hitting your goals this year? If not, there’s still time! With two full months to go, you’ve got the runway to make it happen. And if you’re feeling a bit worn out, head over to the Enyimba Stadium by 4pm today to recharge and cheer with us as we take on the youngest team in the NPFL.

Ikorodu City may only be in their third year, but don’t let their youth fool you. This top-flight newcomer is already outperforming veterans like Heartland, Lobi Stars, and Akwa United this season. It’s a young team with serious drive, and they’re coming into Aba hungry, but we don’t feed people for free in Aba.

Coach Yema, ready for the challenge, had this to say:

“I think I know a little bit about them and I know some of their players; we know they’ll come here to give us a good fight. It would be stupid of us to underrate them. We’re going for the maximum points, especially with the gap at the top opening up. We won’t take Ikorodu City for granted; we’ll treat them like any NPFL team and push for the full three points.”

Strong words, but with a three-game winless streak weighing on us, it’s clear that Yema’s feeling the urgency to turn words into action. The game plan? Simple: we need goals. While the team has been fantastic at creating chances, it’s time to cut out the missed shots and put the ball in the net. Whether it’s Ifeanyi or Alade leading the attack, they’ve got one job today—find the back of the net.

Our playmakers like Kalu Nweke, Eze Ekwutoziem, and Elijah Akanni will be working overtime to set up those chances, making it as easy as possible for our front line to finish strong. But let’s not ignore Ikorodu’s knack for scoring; under interim coach Nurudeem Aweroro, they’re capable of some real firepower. Alalibo and Pascal will have to stay sharp to keep their attackers in check.

Today, no excuses—just goals and grit. It’s time to get back to winning ways, and maybe even wrap this one up in the first half. Let’s bring our A-game and show the league why Enyimba is the team to beat.

See you at the stadium, ready for the roar!
