In Illorin and meaning business: Match Preview Enyimba v Kwara United

Good morning Guys

We are back to action after the sleep in for midweek. We are in Illorin to play Kwara United. It’s interesting that despite not playing in midweek, we still remain top of the Group A. MFM did win in midweek but that spanking last week kinda ensured we sit comfortably on top. Hopefully we can still sit on top at 6pm tonight.

The club media team did flash a few training pictures and on a personal note, it was really nice seeing Ibrahim Mustapha. I love him – maybe more than I should love a man and I think that with proper coaching and a consistent strike partner, he will come good. Good thing, he’s capable of playing with anyone. Ab’dallah, are you taking notes?

Illorin has been a good hunting ground for us especially in recent times. But while that gives cause for optimism, it also is a subtle note of warning. We arrive at a stadium that always gives us stuff – we also know that at some point, the hosts will feel, enough is enough with this generosity to Enyimba.

Another reason why we should be mentally prepared for a tough game is the fact that Kwara United failed to win their first home game of the season. They drew with Sunshine Stars before they got trounced in midweek by MFM. So already without anyone mentioning the R word, relegation fears would be hovering around mildly.

In all honesty, Kwara were odds on to get relegated last term but they were saved by the bell. The situation with Giwa rescued them. So they’re like people who have the alarms sounding in their head. They know that they would wanna start picking up points nice and early too.

Will Ab’dallah shuffle his pack a little bit? I’m guessing, but we would see. I know a lot of people have mooted us as title challengers and indeed we are, but it is games like this that really tell the quality and character of this team. We should be on the offensive from the go and ensure we don’t let them have a go at us.

Finally, you have a chance of winning yourself some N500 airtime by visiting @NPFLInsider on twitter. What would you gain by refusing to follow my new account on Twitter? There’s freebies there every week. Moreover that girl you’re just retweeting her pictures, she hasn’t even responded to your DM…be wise my friend.
