Enyimba land Cameroon International defender

Good morning Guys,

Ordinarily there would’ve been two blogs today. Reason being that there are two hot and sizzling blog-worthy items making the headlines today. But we would have one and the other tomorrow. Reason? It’s simple – we may not have any juice coming out regarding the club. So, Shall we?

The transfer activities is hitting up with the transfer window set to close by this weekend. First of all, it’s no longer news and we did announce it here on the club that Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was on his way out of the club. It has indeed been confirmed after he underwent a medical successfully. He is now teamed up with Katsina United.

The other goalkeeping move sees my friend Friday Achimugwu finally leave the club after a depressing three year spell. The former Giwa FC goalkeeper found life quite tough with the trio of Afelokhai, Dauda and Ezenwa all ahead of him in the pecking order. It was a tough ask, asking him to topple any one of the three who unlike him, all have International experience.

Achimugwu thus heads out of the door but the revolving door sees former Go Round FC goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili walk into the building. Truth is, I don’t know much about him nor do I remember ever watching him play. There’s also some whispers that Afelokhai has also left the club. It’s unconfirmed but my sources have told me it is incorrect. Perhaps there’s something there – time will tell.

Onto the big one. Enyimba has competed the signing of Cameroon Defender Paul Antagana Serge. He had played in top Cameroonian league sides Eding Sport. He also did have a lengthy spell with giants Cotton Sport. He also was part of their CHAN contingent and he is highly spoken of back home. Coach Usman Ab’dallah has also expressed his delight at this big big one.

Finally, the club has announced contract extensions for the quartet of Stanley Dimgba, Nelson Ogbonnaya, Andrew Abalogu and Stephen Chukwude. Amidst the numbers said to be leaving the club, having this core pen new deals is only a good thing.

The coming season (whenever that is) is a very important one for us. Hopefully we have a nicely shaped up squad for the new season.

Have a great day y’all
