My move to Enyimba is the right decision for my career – New signing

Good Morning Guys,

Thank you guys for the kind wishes as per my exams. It went pretty well. I’ve got one more for Tuesday next week and then Christmas break. And those wondering, I’m trying to get a Masters degree in Sports Management. You know, some training that could help us get better. Know better.

Yesterday, news emerged that Chinedu Udechukwu’s transfer has been cast in stone. I saw a picture yesterday with him holding an Enyimba shirt. He is a pretty tall fella but what would make the most sense to us is his goals return. In an interview, he is quoted –

“There was a need for me to take the next step in my career,” Udechukwu said. You know, in anything we do we need to always make progress, so I wanted a bigger challenge.

“I know that my move to Enyimba is the right decision for my career and I want to put in my best to ensure that I help the team achieve big. My aim is to do better than I did at my previous club.”

“I like the welcome I’ve received at the club. The coaches and players have been very friendly and that has helped me settle easily. As a professional that I am, there’s the need to adapt and make this place my new home, and that is what my new team mates have been able to make me do.”

Like they say, talk is cheap, but his actions and performance during the course of the season would let us into how much he meant those comments. We have been in dire need of a quality striker in recent seasons and being a front man with an imposing figure, blend of pace and power, Udechukwu should offer something different upfront for the side.

His impressive goal return of about fifteen goals in one and a half seasons in the NPFL gives a beam of hope that our goal scoring problems could be solved next season. Hopefully he can settle in real quickly.

In related news, it has been speculated in the media that MFM midfield enforcer Shola Brossa has also signed for the club – we are yet to confirm but it leaves you wondering where he would fit in. We have loads of DMs now, don’t you think?

Meanwhile, congratulations to our representatives Enugu Rangers and Lobi Stars on progressing past the first round of their respective Continental hurdles.

That’s your lot today. There could be corner-kick in a bit.
