Rumor mill: Enyimba transfer stories

Good morning Guys,

So today I’m gonna write on the transfer stories making headlines all over the place. Our League isn’t there yet tho, where you’d hear of more concrete transfer gists involving transfers, amounts and duration of contracts. But today, we’d just talk about these rumors.

First of all, there’s a story on of Go Round’s skipper and midfielder who is not only speaking of our interest in him, but is also rumored he is courted by Yobe Stars and Sunshine Stars. Yobe Stars and Sunshine Stars. I’ll let you chew that over. Meanwhile here’s his piece from GOAL.

“I’m looking forward to a move to Enyimba but it has not been concluded just yet because I am still under contract with Go Round and as it now, I am still their player,” Esor told Goal.

“I have discussed terms with them and I think everything is going well but any further delay could lead to a serious threat to the deal being wrapped up because I have other clubs that have shown interest in me. They are also serious but I know what I want and how to go about it.

“I believe that everything should be sorted before the end of the week. I want to move to the next stage of my career and I believe I am in the right direction.”

Next up. Seun Sogbeso. Y’all remember Seun Sogbeso, don’t you? If you don’t, I’ll give you a little history lesson. Don’t worry, it’s a very simple and short story.

The year was 2016. We were on our way to another Federation Cup title. The gaffer was Apostle Paul. Good ol Apostle Paul and the venue was the Shooting Stars shrine in Ibadan. Our attacking play was nonexistent. We eventually gave away a penalty. Seun Sogbeso converted. Game ended 1-0. So that Sogbeso is the one being talked about here.

Then there’s Thomas Zenke. Another Nasawara United winger who could be a replacement for Mfon Udoh.

My thoughts? It’s pretty much simple. I pray the club gives more attention to its youngsters. For instance, one of Afelokhai, Dauda Or Ezenwa could leave. We don’t need to look too far for a replacement. We have Friday Achimugwu who has been at the club for about three seasons now. He used to be first choice at Giwa. He’s young and he has a promising career ahead of him. We should be looking at him.

And not just him, we have the likes of Emeka Obioma, Gabriel Orok and Maxwell Effiom. Decent youngsters who if nurtured rightly, can turn bags of money in the near future.

This is probably the longest blog you’ve gotten in a while. Glad you enjoyed it. You’re welcome.

Back tomorrow
