Another look at it all

Good morning Guys, It’s another Friday. This week sped by didn’t it? Anyway, we have one more look at that Derby and it’s from another angle- thoughts from Chinatu John. His thoughts below.

Post Matchday seems the easiest time for another blog post and when the Matchday was a derby then it can only get better.

On Wednesday, our team came closest to home for the first time this season and it was a great opportunity for most fans who may not afford the trip to Calabar, to watch their team play. The crowd was just awesome. I don’t think I’ve seen such crowd at the Umuahia Township Stadium. It was almost filled and in order to get a real feeling of the  game, I had to spend the first 45 minutes with a bulk of “visiting” fans.

The game started as would any derby and had all the qualities of a tough derby game. The first 45 minutes was the most exciting thing I’ve seen this season. Okpako Solomon, Dare Ojo, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu, Captain Mfon Udoh and a lot more had a fantastic first half. The team was really menacing, drawing ohs and ahs from the stand. The team’s performance actually diluted Warriors fans as our ever present supporters club were being fueled by the team’s display.

We were actually very unfortunate not to score as almost every attacking player got close to breaking the deadlock all to no avail.

The second half came with a heavy rain which I believe, helped the opposition get more of the ball. The rains made the fantastic Umuahia pitch difficult to play in as both teams struggled to string passes together and literally took some life out of the game. The rains stopped after some minutes and we came closer to scoring again. A beautiful combination play from three attackers fell to Anaemena but his shot was just wide.

Abia Warriors managed to hold on for a share of the spoils and we left Umuahia with a point. We were the better side but we can manage the point garnered. At least, we almost won and we didn’t lose. We return to Calabar to face Nasarawa United and if results go our way, we might find ourselves in positions of great confidence and anything is possible!

Thanks Bro. Give him a follow @ChinatuJon.

So who else has noticed these improved graphics from the Enyimba media team. I do think their graphics is second to none in the country however they would need to be more forthcoming and regular with it. These pictures are lovely especially with the team sheets and goalscorers and I think it’s essential we give them kudos when they deserve it. So well done guys, more power to your muscles. Keep it up..

Finally for today. We are looking to help some of our fans expand and make more awareness about what they do. We would run free ads on the blog for the first five people who signify interests. You have a business or firm you want to let everyone know about? We would talk about them here on the blog. First five people who signify via email-

Something different tomorrow as we ready for Nasarawa United this Sunday.

Till then,
