Gallop over Nasarawa

Today’s game against Nasarawa means a lot to Enyimba and her Continental hopes this season. Last weekend at Gombe was abysmal which makes 3 points in today’s game, absolutely mandatory.

I would rather not talk about anything from that Gombe fixture except of course that Mfon scored his 15th and what a goal it was. He is now the top marksman in the Championship and it would be some feat if he would win the awards. He has been one of the most consistent forwards in the league, fantastic attitude and with the kind of personal drive you want your strikers to have. He can get kicked two hundred times in a game but he guess wat, he gets up the two hundred and first time. Such is the attitude of the young man. Superb athlete!

I spoke with the manager yesterday on how he thinks the season comes to an end and the challenges that face his team as they look to achieve their minimum targets….I will give those details in another post.

Today we face Nasarawa United. A side that has performed very well this season. They have not left the top five throughout the season and now have a continental ticket within their reach. They are a hardworking side but they were hammered by Elkanemi Warriors 3-1 in their last away game. We should beat them…very well.

The title race hots up and unannounced, Warri Wolves have found themselves in the mix. One point off the leaders and three ahead of us, and as the three of us play at home, baring a miracle, the table might not change much by midnight.

An early goal will do us so much good and please not at the other end. Emma Anyanwu and Chinedu Udoji should continue at centre back. Chijioke Ejiogu might be called up for this one. Rasheed Olabiyi might miss out today due to some health concerns he talked of yesterday while Nzube and Sokari should pick themselves in the middle. Mfon, Amanfor, Ayaya and Bashri should be the attacking quartet. Uwadiegwu has started light trainings but could be short for this one. Ojobo and Bala Zakka will complete my starting eleven for this game.

3 points, 3 goals will do….

Let’s do this guys…
