Let’s have Warriors for Dinner.

We make the short trip to the State capital to meet those noise makers – Warriors. I call them noise makers because credit to them and all they have achieved this season, they are still the small boys. Yes, they beat us early in the season in Aba and bla bla bla, but we went to Umuahia few weeks later and beat them in the State FA Cup.

How big a game is this? You know it’s a very massive one. Haven gotten just 1 point against Rangers in Enugu, where I think we deserved to get all 3, beating Warriors in Umuahia will give us the edge and cushion to topple Pillars from their hold at the top of the League summit.

The boys have been playing well and I believe they will continue at 4pm in Umuahia. I’m particularly concerned about their midfield. Onyeali and Okoro are combatant and will look to take the game to us. The latter is a beast from long range and Rahseed should really keep an eye on him. I hope Razak comes back into the team because his drive and energy is something we will need tomorrow. Moreso Nzube needs some protection because Obaroakpo will be on him all game. Peter Onyekachi will be up for this as he has been in big games but I hope Uche John starts as he matches him strength for strength. Skippo will marry Onyeudo; I don’t think doing that will be too much an issue for Chinedu.

For our attack, Mfon and Andrew will maraud the flanks and will have Either of Ofem, Ndifreke or Garba to checkmate them. Ladan Bosso loves his fullbacks to join the attack once in a while and they can be caught out. Key will be to release the ball to the runners as soon as possible to so we can catch them on the break.

This is a game that we must start brightly and try to outnumber them in the key areas. I don’t know what The Boss is thinking and his choice point man will be determined by the health of his strikers. Meshack came in the second half against Wolves and he showed his trickery. Pace, dribbling and the surprise factor. Bosso knows all the players in the league according to him but I doubt if he will be expecting Meshack. He will be a good player for us in the future I believe and maybe Boumsong can start from the bench.

I’m fired up for this one and I know every other Enyimba fan is. There is a tasty 3 points we can take here and having overtaken them on the table, let’s move to more serious contenders- Pilars and Nasarawa.

Let’s hope Warri Wolves do us the favour against Pillars, we can close it down to 1 point by Sunday evening.

Let’s go guys; Enyimba Enyi!
